Nine days ago, Epic Games, the creator of Fortnite unveiled the new season of Fortnite - Season 2 Chapter 2 and completely removed the building mechanics it was very well known for.

This update received mixed feedback from content creators, influencers, and the actual Fortnite players. The majority of major creators loved the update, we anticipate that it may have just been the change Fortnite needed to bring back the hype.

Ever since the update, the Fortnite category has been garnering over 500,000+ viewers on Twitch and showing a similar growth over at YouTube Gaming.
With the release of Fortnite Season 2 Chapter 2, they also shared the fundraising campaign for the ongoing war upon Ukraine and have raised over $70 Million as of 28th March 2022.

So is Fortnite bringing Building back?

As per the update named "Zero-Build - No Build Battle Royale" on 29th March 2022, we've seen the original game modes (Solo, Duo, Trios, Squad) being renamed and given a new picture to better reflect the no building change.

This update could imply that after the resistance challenges, Fortnite could be bringing back the classic solo, duos, trios, squad game mode which used to have the building mechanics but while that may be added, there is a high chance that no build game modes are not going anywhere, anytime soon.

We also wonder if based on the statistics and popularity of the classic and no-build game modes, Fortnite may decide to permanently remove the building mechanics altogether.
Although, this is just a speculation and it's hard to guess why Fortnite, the game which became popular because of its unique building feature could permanently disable building in their game.

For now, this may be temporary but we could see a future season with more movement mechanics and no building at all. Whatever it may be, we're excited about the future and can't wait to see more.
