Just a few days ago Sony announced a brand new service revamp for their PlayStation users. They'll be discontinuing their PlayStation Now subscription starting this June and replacing it with their multi-tier PlayStation Plus membership.

Starting with their base tier, PS Plus Essential at $9.99/month or $99.99 a year coming with at least two free games a month, and a library of 400 PS4 and PS5 games for digital download.

The PS Plus Premium plan, costing $17.99 a month and $119.99 a year respectively would add an additional 350 games including PS Now's library of streamable PS3 games which users can stream on their PS4, PS5, and even PC!

Which Free Games Are PlayStation Plus Members Receiving?

The first and the headline game for PS Plus members starting April 5th is Hood: Outlaws & Legends. It's a multiplayer game with the premise of being more stealthy than combat. A game that would definitely exercise your brain.

Their second game SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated is a 3D platformer with a twist... You get to be Spongebob, Patrick, and Sandy! A fun and enjoyable game you can enjoy with your kids or just by yourself, we won't judge! 😜

Now coming on to the final game for April 2022, Slay the Spire. A roguelike procedurally-generated adventure game requiring strategic choices to build your deck. If you need to sharpen up your brain in the morning, this may just be the right game for you.

We can't wait to see what other future games PlayStation has to offer its new PS Plus members in May and the coming months.
